Silver Arts Exhibition Review

Where did you go?

I went to an exhibition of art that was in the hallways of the college. There were a couple of stalls that were open and were showing of pieces of work.

What did you see/do?

I saw pieces of art that varied in type, some were more realistic and some were Japanese and the sort. The variety was evident, there was also a lot of pencil and ink-based drawings there also.

When did you go?

We went in the afternoon on Friday the 13th.

What happened at the  arts  event?

There were many stalls displaying the work and the effort put into it, it was varied. Varied in art styles and those that drew them.

What art  form was involved?

There were many forms, drawn by different people, but there was a lot of Japanese-type drawings that I could see, the shading and outlines were well defined.

Have  you seen/done something like  this  before?

I honestly have not done something like this before. However I wouldn't mind doing it again, it's actually not that bad to be honest.

What  was similar to something you've seen/done before?

It was similar to what I've seen before, I have seen on documentaries and shows many art galleries. Besides that I have also seen galleries advertised, but never visited one before. I plan to possibly do something like this another time in the future however.

What  was new or unexpected about  what  you saw/experienced?

What was new or unexpected was doing this in the first place, viewing art. It was actually quite interesting and surprising how many talented people are in the college.

What did you think was good  and why?

What was good was the amount of effort and detail in the art itself, it was also laid out effectively and in a unique manner, so it wasn't bland or generic in it's presentation.

What did you think was less good  and why?

I think what was less good was the fact that the art wasn't, well there wasn't much of it. It is actually disappointing that there was only so much art to show.

What have you learnt from it?

I have learnt that people have creative and artistic talents all around the college that I wasn't even aware of. Knowing this has let me understand the people that study here a little more and how talented they truly are,

What thoughts or ideas will you take  away from this  experience?

The thoughts and ideas I will take away consist of positive ones, I feel that if I ever need some creative art or interesting drawings for work in the future, I know where to turn to get some.

Knowing this is something that will be beneficial and I hope to find some more interesting and perceptive drawings and drawers out there.
