To Jordy Holtslag,
I've noticed that you work in the media industry as an editor, and as such I have a few questions as you are a professional, if you could answer my questions it'd be appreciated. I am taking the course of Creative Media Level 2, so your answers will be clearing things up and giving me an understanding.

Firstly, how many hours do you work? Are they reasonable? Do they average out to the right amount that you get paid? The hours, are they flexible? As in can you modify what hours you work? If so is this actually anything that contains rules itself?

Secondly, how much do you get paid? Is it enough to have a substantial living? Is it worth the amount of work you put into your job and the effort you put into it?

Thirdly, is it satisfying? The job you do, is it actually worth it? Do you get a kick out of your job? And do you also get enough work to keep things varied and entertaining for long enough?

What is a typical contract? Are you bound by many rules? Also what is a typical working day? What time do you start?

If you could answer these questions it'd be greatly appreciated.

Yours sincerely

Josh-Richard Smith

I sent this letter to an editor called Jordy Holtslag, who has won three awards so he seems like a good choice and option to ask questions to.

He lives in the Netherlands, and has edited many films including: Onbegrensde Wetenschap (2014), De laatste (2014), Krabbel (2014) and Dokter Deen (2011). I haven't seen these films but we can see from this that he has a lot of experience, which is promising.

He hasn't just made these films, he's also made quite a lot of others, his list of films that he's edited is extensive.

He seems professional too, I can tell that he's passionate about his work, and that he cares greatly in what he creates and edits.
