Arts Challenge

The session that I enjoyed was the animation one, I enjoyed it because it gave us variety and a chance to take advantage of being creative on the spot. Working in groups to create a new story was imaginative and enjoyable, however for this I will be going solo on this.

The strengths I have in animation is understanding how to animate, how to use the software for capturing each frame, drawing to a relatively good degree, and having an interest in characteristics, emotions and actions that characters have in certain environments and situations.

South Park is an example of cut-out animation, originally used by paper and craft items, now made with computer animation tools, but in the same style making the characters animate as if they are cut-outs.

What I want to learn from my Arts Award Challenge

Skills-wise, I want to develop a few skills, such as how to animate in the 'cut-out' style of animation, how to take advantage of techniques used for animating certain actions and responses. Also I want to develop skills such as time management when given a certain amount of time to comply and draw what is needed for the animation's final cut.

I will show development of my challenge by showing clips, drawings, screenshots, and other forms of evidence to prove that my project is changing, broadening, and most importantly, developing.

I want to learn new techniques for animations and to achieve an actual cut-out animation itself. And I also want to achieve the style of a cut-out animation by the end of it all.
